Pao Arts Center
Designer
As a designer for Pao Arts Center, I created the the programming brochure and postcard for the exhibition “Temple of Our Ancestral Dreams.” For the imagery, I chose to use auspicious clouds and the Chinese guardian lions that stand in front of the China Trade Gate in Boston’s Chinatown as a way to greet and beckon the visitors into the “temple” while centering refuge, dreams, and local Chinatown histories as core aspects of the exhibition. For the programming brochure, I wanted to have the visitors be involved in a performance of their own, so I suggested making the brochure a sculptural object that moves with the holder’s participation. Ultimately, the programming brochure took on the shape of an origami fortune teller.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Polly Thayer Starr Intern
As the 2024-2025 Polly Thayer Starr Intern at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, I implemented two art activities for the museum in the winter and summer of 2025. The first was "Bookbinding Memories," and the second was "Courtyard Critters." Both were based on the histories of the museum and its collections. Besides documentation and samples, I also created instruction sheets for the projects. Featured above are snippets of those instructions.
Tufts Asian American Center
Social Media and Marketing Intern
During my time as the Social Media and Marketing Intern at the Tufts Asian American Center, I created promotional materials for events. The link above is the origin story of the Center's mascot. The story emphasizes resources the center offers so that students who may feel hesitant going to the space alone can be more confident exploring it. I animated and edited the short film promoting the center's annual exhibition, with background sound sourced from freesound.org
